Is there better way to kick off the summer than with a splash of free outdoor live music? We don’t think so! Visit Summer in Battersea Park on Saturday 22 June and Sunday 23 June for Live at the Bandstand, a selection of free performances suitable for all ages at the iconic park Bandstand!
With everything from brass bands to mariachi, there’s so much incredible talent to rock out to! In between bands, you can also get stuck into our funfair situated right beside and a delicious array of food and drink brought to you by London street food aficionados KERB.

World Heart Beat Jazz Band (11:30-12:30): World Heart Beat has a shining jazz programme in the Wandsworth & Battersea areas and offers talented young instrumentalists and vocalists an amazing opportunity to work with some of the world’s top jazz musicians – developing their creative talents and performance skills, through exploring the American roots of Jazz. The academy works closely with jazz royalty Julian Joseph and his team at JJJA and recently had an inspiring visit from US jazz maestro, Wynton Marsalis. Tune in for some exceptional jazz playing from young local musicians, stars of the future in their formative years!
The Dimmocks (13:00-14:00): A superbly well-dressed group of friends with an eclectic set of re-imagined 50s classics all the way through to modern day dubstep. Expect ukulele’s, roaring blues guitar solos and sun-drenched harmonies.
Esteban Card (14:30-15:30): A London-based Colombian artist who puts a distinctive twist on folkloric Colombian music. His innovative mixture of traditional drums and organic contemporary sounds represents a forward-facing musical identity anchored to his roots. Esteban’s creates an arresting alternative to better-known Latin American styles, performing live in a captivating 7-piece format.
Tarantola (16:00-17:00): Hailing straight from the boot of Italy, Tarantola is a Mediterranean Gypsy-Folk band that brings “Taranta”, the traditional music of Salento to the British music scene. Six energetic musicians who come from different corners of the world including Italy, Brazil, Spain and England who share their diverse musical influences.
A Day on Venus (17:30-18:15): Led by Tiffany Parker and her powerhouse vocals, A Day on Venus, is a dynamic 7-piece, featuring members from established London bands including Soul Grenades, Full Tilt Collective, and New Car Smell. They’re on a mission to redefine brass music by infusing it with neo-soul harmonies and pulsating club beats, drawing inspiration from genres like UK Garage and disco.

Putney & Wimbledon Brass Band (13:30-14:30): A lively and ambitious brass band, founded in 2017, who were awarded first place in The London and Southern Counties Regionals in 2023!.
Mariachi Las Adelita (15:00-16:00): Formed in London in 2013 this unique band was born out of the desire to shatter stereotypes within this traditionally male-dominated genre. A 7- piece band originally from Mexico, Cuba, Colombia, Italy and the U.K they are the only female Mariachi band in Europe.
Norton Money (16:30-17:30): Norton Money is a harmony driven Alternative-Americana band with soul. The band was formed by musicians Dan Beaulaurier & Jeremy Mendonca in 2006. In the years that followed they performed extensively in the UK, USA and Europe.
Das Brass (18:00-19:00): A brass covers band who play a melange of pop and funk favourites, balkanised afrobeats and twisted jazz standards. The band infuses traditional New Orleans style horn section instruments including trombones, trumpets, saxophones, sousaphone and drums, teleporting this traditional approach to the 21st century!
